For the Birds

Penguin ran the Boston Marathon today. I couldn’t be there to cheer him on in person, so I sent him some signs to “see” along the way. Despite the record-breaking heat (and multiple race-wide warnings from officials to slow down), he flew through the course. Watching the streaming video of the race got me really excited for the Twin Cities marathon in October – not only because I have solid plans to rock it out, but I’m very much looking forward to seeing him at the finish line. [Let's be clear: he's also running, but will finish well ahead of me.] Out there running with Penguin was another Hood to Coast team member, who also left it all on the course and braved the heat to cross that finish line. Excited to be running with these guys in August, even if they have to drag me across the finish line!

Speaking of being proud of penguins, pretty proud of this little guy for his clear and decisive political stance.
